IGNITION3 ARRIVES AT ISDE 2009

L to R David Kamo US Junior Team, Jon Lague, Larry Lague IGNITION3
We are in Figueira da Foz after landing in Madrid on Wednesday afternoon. We spent the night in Madrid and drove the 6 hours east to Portugal yesterday. We are settled into our new digs at the Castle Eugenia yesterday and went down and got all credentialed up, and toured the pits for a bit. Saw Kurt Caselli, David Kamo, Ricky Dietrich, Maria Forsberg, David Knight, and many more.
Last night we went to the Team USA rider’s meeting and learned all the do’s and don’ts for riders and support crews. We also caught up with Gunny Claypoole, ISDE Team manager, Bruce Wakeley, Jay Hall and others and got some information on the team and what is going on.
Today we spent the day interviewing riders, We will go out with the Trophy team this afternoon and we got a David Knight interview as well as Tom Sagar, Paul Edmundson of the UK team. They feel they have a strong trophy team, but are realistic about the competition.
The weather is great. About 75 to 80 today. It has been raining earlier this week, so the ground will have lots of moisture. The course is quite sandy and there is a beach special test next to the Paddock each night.
More later, we are heading out to do some interviews with Kurt and friends.
We will do a video soon, so stay tuned we will let you know when it goes up.

I so wish that I could be there to ride this event. I’ve been waiting a whole year for the racing to start. Team USA looks very strong again this year, good luck to all and bring back some gold. Hopefully next year, I can make the team.
Fast Eddie
I was given this site by one of the USA club team riders David Booth to keep up with the event, so all of us back in the USA that could not make it appreciate you guys keeping us posted with information about what is going on over there.
Thanks, Sondra
