Go team USA!! They should have run the course backwards the second time, like in GNCC when they repeat a location the next year. The track is totally different even though it is the same.

  2. GNCC racer says:

    What happened to the Knighter?

  3. RJ says:

He crashed out in the first special test hard…

  4. Andrew Poe says:

    David Kamo:
During test 6, his bike quit. He thought it was a black box. He ran back to the start of the test where his fanny-bum pack was to get the spare black box. When he got back to the bike to work on it he realized that the wiring harness had melted and part of the boot even melted! The bike just cooked everything!

David is out of the race… :(

  5. Eddie Bright says:

Two days, two top riders out for the World and Junior World teams, we better start getting some good luck or else these guys are going to be riding for individual awards. Man this would be the greatest event to ride in. Wish I was there instead of here….

  6. Kenna says:

Hey Andrew – I think I met you in Greece last year. Are you in Portugal or home?

  7. Eddie Bright says:

Does anyone know what happened to Ryan Powell, he was kicking the C-2 class and then dissapeared off the results page? Info please…

    Fast Eddie

  8. Andrew Poe says:

Yeah, I was in Greece last year.. I am stuck at home this year though..

  9. Kenna says:

Andrew – with David and Jill and Kit, right? I did meet you there! I’m home too … waiting impatiently for info! I guess I should’ve gone to Portugal!

  10. Andrew Poe says:

Yep! that would be me :) I sure wish I was over there.. well, kinda. I bet Dave isn’t the happiest of kids right now.

  11. Kenna says:

Ryan Powells bike blew up. He was stuck for 7 hours. Talking to my hubby on skype now

  12. Eddie Bright says:

Bike problems are killing us this year. That’s three really fast guys who have been kicked out with bike troubles. Keeping my fingers crossed no one else has troubles.

    Fast Eddie

  13. Kenna says:

Do you want any more info on anyone else? My husband is still on line

  14. Eddie Bright says:

Kenna, Sorry, didn’t catch your last post till now. No thanks, unless you are still on with him, has anyone else had problems? It’s just nice to have a place to go to get info on the riders. It’s always nice to hear about the top riders, but most of us have someone else that we are cheering for also. To bad about Ryan, it looked like he was headed for a great ISDE. Thanks for the info,,,

    Fast Eddie

  15. Kenna says:

Still on line for a few more minutes. I am asking him now. David Knight hurt his neck in his crash.

  16. Kenna says:

Ben Smith crashed hard .. they tried to get him to stop racing but he kept on … but they said he’s okay now.

  17. Kenna says:

from my husband: “Destry got off hard and was looking like Kurt did last year, but he’s still going……he just told me his head is OK now, but he’s pretty sore. I heard him tell Kurt he hasn’t fallen that hard in years.”

  18. Eddie Bright says:

Thank you so much for the updates, I can tell something has happened to someone just by the times posted for the sections. I figured that Destry had a problem either with his bike or a crash, as the day went on, his times picked back up so I figured it was a crash. I’m glad he is okay and I hope he can continue. It’s almost like you can tell which sections that someone crashed in, it looks as if Kurt crashed twice in special tests today. I’m really sorry to hear about David Knight, I was hoping that he would have a good ISDE to prove to BMW that it was the bike and not him. It would be nice if the rest of the US team could keep the rubber side towards the dirt and not fall over anymore. I’d like to see them put all three big teams on the podium and at least one of the club teams… Go team USA.. we’re behind you all. Now if someone will loan me a new body for next year, I’ll try and make the team…

    Fast Eddie

Better luck for the next days.

  20. GNCC racer says:

I beleive Knight proved his BMW was not a great bike, I was at Snowshoe when he blew everybody away on a stock KX450F he had for two weeks. That’s gotta say something!
